About SBIR

SBIR is the Small Business Information & Resource portal for micro, small and medium enterprises established by the City Government of Cagayan de Oro and the Ginamâ Entrepreneurial Development Center.  It is the home for the city’s mentoring program, welcoming entrepreneurs to free localized and contextualized courses with options for one-to-one help from Cagay-anon mentors. Publicly accessible information for would-be investors and existing businesses are also available with a direct line to the city’s Oro Trade & Investment Promotions Center.

While content is primarily in English, many videos are Bisaya-friendly and some have translation in the local dialect.  Here you will find mentoring modules with practical advice and other articles that contain useful information.  The portal also hosts tools to improve business operations. Regular and innovative loan products and financial assistance offered by government and private financing institutions are featured. Easily accessible links to the Ginamâ online store and member MSME’s social media pages are also here.

With the pandemic in 2020, MSMEs were forced to seek solutions to recover and stimulate growth. This online portal was created to contribute to the success of these entrepreneurs by providing a gateway to a multitude of resources available from government and private institutions. The SBIR portal was one of the activities under the Cagayan de Oro Business Response and Recovery Plan (CDO-BRRP).

Discover Cagayan de Oro’s home for local information and resources for MSMEs and the gateway for national and global resiliency solutions. Take this journey to a more vibrant and resilient business.
